The Arsi Zone is inhabited by people who are largely farmers. The zone is blessed with natural beauty such as the chilalo/bale mountains, the rift valley lakes. 60000 people live in the twon of Asela, with several schools including teacher traning institute, agricultural college and nursing school. Among the well knowns of the twon is Derartu Tulu and Haile Gebressilassie. In this blog I will post my experiences during my travels to my town.
